AI!

Temporary exhibition on artificial intelligence
Ground-breaking! A historic revolution! Or a threat? (Help!) Before you start shouting ai(ai)!’, it’s important to understand how AI exactly works.

In our brand-new exhibition AI!, you will go on a journey through the history of AI, be taken through all the key concepts and discover both pitfalls and opportunities. At the end, you’ll have the chance to get to work with some fun AI tools yourself.

AI! will be open to secondary schools and the general public (12+) from 4 November.

Little steps and big leaps

After a brief intro, you will travel through the history of AI on a giant game board. Just like in the game of the goose, you’ll regularly take little steps forward or backward and sometimes suddenly take a giant leap forward. Travel from the first expert systems in the 1950s to one of the first chatbots in 1966 towards machine learning and through into the future.

Find your way through the world of AI

Can AI do my homework? Can AI hallucinate? To find out, we’ll first learn some terms and concepts. What is machine learning? Why do you need prompts? What does latent space mean? Through videos, information boards, interactive screens and so on you will be introduced to everything from GAN, LMM and NLP to ANI, AGI and ASI.

WOW, but…

Composing an entire opera without a single false note, creating a deepfake, generating an AI image… As you try out these and other fun things, you’ll encounter important social issues such as privacy, prejudice and employment.

Getting started yourself

Just as important as understanding AI so that you can talk about it in an informed way is learning to use it. We invite you to discover 3 tools (ChatGPT, Dream and Evolution), at your own pace, so you can decide for yourself what use they can be to you and others. We’ll give you some handy tips and tricks.

Now is the time

While we’re still in the midst of a historic transformation due to the advent of AI, it’s important for us to prepare as many young people and adults as possible to participate in this revolution now. In AI! we don’t just provide answers – we also encourage critical reflection and debate.

From the end of this year

  • General public (12+): free admission with a day ticket (from 4 November)
